Fat grafting, also referred to as Fat Transfer or Fat Injections, is the minimally invasive in-office procedure by which fat is transferred from one area of the body to another area under local anesthesia without the use of a scalpel or stitches. The goal is to improve or augment the area where the fat is injected. The technique involves extracting a small amount of adipose tissue by liposuction, processing it into microfat and nanofat, and then reinjecting it into the area needing improvement. Fat grafting is a way to improve and enhance the cosmetic appearance of the face and hands.
