DERMAL FILLER

Facial contouring with hyaluronic acid fillers

Facial contouring with hyaluronic acid fillers has become one of the most requested minimally invasive, nonsurgical treatment to re-volumize the aging face and give the face more youthful appearance.

As we age, dermal collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid reserves are diminishing. Our skin becomes thinner and loses elasticity which contributes to loss of volume and wrinkles formation. Facial contouring includes changing the structural appearance of the face, allowing cheeks to become lifted, chin and jawline to become prominent improving the facial contour.

Results are seen instantly.

What's normal

Due to anaesthetic in the gel, you may feel numbness or tingling immediately after the procedure, and have some moderate swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness over area treated. Mild, non-painful swelling can last for up to two weeks.

Recommendation
Do not massage the treated areas.

Avoid applying heat to the treated area until any swelling or bruising, have resolved. Routine washing and showering is fine.

Avoid activities that cause facial flushing, on the day of treatment, including consuming alcohol, exercises, and tanning.

Gently apply a cold compress or wrapped ice pack to the treated areas for 15 minutes every few hours as needed to reduce discomfort, swelling, or bruising, up to a few days after treatment. Don’t apply ice directly which can cause injury. If bruising occurs, it typically resolves within 7-10 days.

After treatment, oral and/or topical Arnica Montana may help reduce bruising and swelling.
